Bantha Skull "I saw... I saw a city in the clouds." Bantha Skull

Droge

Located in the Lahara Sector, Droge is one of two habitable planets in the Aga System, which borders the Hydian Way. The planet is divied-up into about 40% land and 60% water. The lay of the land, as well as atmospheric conditions, cause two rings of consistant fog to form equa-distantly between the planet's equator and poles. The people of Droge, known as Droogs or Droogies, call these fog banks the Shallad Horrors. Many fierce, predatory creatures live there. As a rite of passage for Droog males, they must walk the approximate twenty miles, either through the belt of the south or the curtain of the north, from one side of the Shallad Horrors to the other. Rarely does a young Droogie not survive, but it does happen occasionally. This ritual was the product of a strong tradition of Drosh Gladiators. The pinacle of which was when a Drosh Gladiator was selected to become a Jedi Knight. It was the highest honor the planet could have received. The Droogies were very proud. Unfortunately, Droge was demoralized when learning of the fact that their Jedi Knight was killed during a battle of the Clone Wars. This devastating news brought about the end of the ancient legion. The Droogs vowed only to fight when directly attacked. They would never pick up weapons again in an act of war.
The rite of passage through the Shallad Horrors is still a vital part of Drosh custom, but the training of Drosh Gladiators in the arts of fighting are not as they once were. Droge could not sustain a massive attack of the planet for very long.

NOTE - the meaning of the name:
Droogs or Droogies is a term used for companions in the movie "A Clockwork Orange." Here it is used as a term for the species/people of the planet.
Variations I came up with on the word were Droge (sounds like lodge), which I use for the planet's name; and Drosh (sound like kosher), which I use to describe the language or objects of the culture.
