"I am a Jedi, like my father before me."

BIO - Raised as the foster son of Owen and Beru Lars, Luke overcame impossible odds to become the greatest hero of the Rebel Alliance. With some help from Han Solo, he rescued Princess Leia Organa from the original Death Star, then proceded to destroy it with torpedoes from his X-Wing fighter. While on the planet Hoth with the Rebel Alliance, he was told by the spirit of Jedi Knight Obi-Wan Kenobi to go to Dagobah and continue his training with Jedi Master Yoda. After seeing a vision of the future, Luke fled to the Cloud City on Bespin to help rescue his friends Han Solo and Leia Organa from the clutches of the evil Dark Lord of the Sith, Darth Vader. In the intense lightsabre duel that insued, Vader sliced off Luke's right hand, then tried to bring him over to the darkside by explaining to him that he was Luke's father. Obi-Wan Kenobi's spirit and Yoda confirmed that his accusation was true: Darth Vader was once Anakin Skywalker, Luke's father. Luke returned to his home planet on a mission to save Han Solo from the notorious gangster, Jabba the Hutt (who was killed when his sail barge exploded). At the battle of Endor, Luke told Leia that they were brother and sister, and that he must confront Vader. He refused to give in to the Emperor's attempt at bringing him to the darkside. When Luke's life was in danger, Vader threw the Emperor into the main reactor, but killed himself in the process. Luke had been successful in bringing his father back from the darkside.
Luke will have many adventures in the future, and to his knowledge is the only remaining Jedi in the galaxy. Balance has been achieved, but for how long?
